Long sleeve shirts rather difficult and inefficient. I recommend making a short sleeve shirt and extending the sleeves. I recommend doing this because, even though just cutting you shirt to be long sleeved is easier, in the process of creating the shirt tends to shrink. Another tactic is using more fabric.
